Explore Famous UK Attractions

Learning more about life in the UK, and visiting some of the most famous tourist attractions in England is an important part of our summer school programme. Students will be taken on 2 full day excursions per week* and will experience exciting and interesting locations including:

London

A trip to the UK would not be complete without a visit to the bustling capital city of London. All Headington Oxford students will have the chance to enjoy a day in this iconic city.

During the London excursion, our students will be able to see famous tourist attractions such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square. Students will also enjoy a River Cruise and a trip to the top of the iconic Shard, for a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.

During the day, students will have time to shop on London’s famous high streets, where they can visit the many big brand shops as well as independent boutiques London has to offer. The day will finish with dinner in a London restaurant, before heading back to the school.

Thorpe Park

Thrill-seekers will love visiting one of the UK’s biggest theme parks, home to some of the world’s most exciting and biggest roller-coasters! Thorpe Park contains themed attractions to suit all interests and is sure to provide a fun day out for all of our students.

Bath

Our students will visit to the historic city of Bath, with its beautiful architecture, fascinating history and great shopping. Entrance to the famous Roman Baths is included, which provides a unique experience, learning about its history and seeing the natural springs. Students will enjoy a walking tour of the city taking in some of its most famous sites and beautiful architecture, before spending free time exploring and buying souvenirs with friends.

Bristol

There is so much to see and do in the vibrant city of Bristol. Students will enjoy the best of Bristol, including its thriving art scene, a visit to one of the city’s museums and fabulous shopping centres.

Royal Windsor

Students will spend the day visiting the beautiful and historic town of Windsor, in the English county of Berkshire. The day includes a trip to see one of The Queen’s favourite residences and oldest inhabited castles in the world, Windsor Castle. The day also includes crucial time for souvenir shopping in Windsor’s busy shopping district.

Brighton

A trip to the seaside is a real British tradition! The iconic sea-side town of Brighton promises a fun-filled day for our students. The day includes a visit to the beautiful Royal Pavilion, Brighton Pier and a visit to the beach. There is also time for shopping in the famous Brighton Lanes before heading back to school.
