Headington Oxford Student Coding in Class

Why Choose Coding?

Coding is a course designed for students aged between 13 and 16 years old who wish to develop their ability to code websites, databases, and games. In an increasingly technological world, understanding and developing digital language is a key part of every business’s marketing plan. Along with being a platform for web development Coding is also the foundation of the gaming industry – an industry which is now larger than the movie and music industries combined. The course will also help all students develop their English language, communication and collaboration skills.

What You’ll Learn

Coding introduces students to many aspects of coding, including studying coding languages (Python, HTML, CSS and Javascript) as well as exploring the practical applications of these languages in website and game design. Students will take part in fun and creative projects, involving programming micro:bits, designing web pages, and creating games using GameMaker Pro.
